Chicago’s own Young Chop is one of the most sought-after producers in the industry right now, thanks to his smash hit with Chief Keef “I Don’t Like” and banging tracks with everyone from Kanye West to Gucci Mane to Big Sean to French Montana. In fact, Kanye recently gave Chop props for the “knock” of his drums during an interview with Juan Epstein (Chop worked on Yeezus with ‘Ye). He’s certainly one to watch for this year.

Since Young Chop has two joints dropping on iTunes this week (one is his new project with YB Life of a Boss, the other is a single with his brother Johnny May Cash and Rampage titled “Ever Cent”), and plenty of big-look placements on the way with artists in and out of Chi-Town, we thought it would be a good time to catch up with him and find out a bit more about his studio habits for a special edition of our In The Lab series.
