Video: Clipse ft. Cam’ron – Popular Demand (Popeyes) (Official Behind The Scenes)

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Here’s the official issue BTS straight from Rik and Three/21.

Says Rik:

Last week, Three/21 shot the dynamic VA duo, The Clipse and Killa Cam in NYC for their latest track “Popular Demand” or “Popeyes” (for short) off the upcoming album “Til The Casket Drops”. Despite a few crazy moments such as the NYPD trying to shut us down and blacklist us about 4 times in 4 seperate locations. Luckily Popeyes came to our rescue and let us shoot Cam inside during business hours in front of a whole bunch of surprised customers. Shout out to Steven Victor and the entire Re-Up Gang squad for holding us down. Come holla at ya uncle…

Video: The Kickdrums – Things Work Out (Behind The Scenes)

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Directed by Rik Cordero for Three/21 Media.

Says Rik:

Check out the BTS from the next Three/21 produced music video “Things Work Out” featuring The Kickdrums. The concept for this video was influenced by an interpretation of the butterfly effect scene from “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button”. It’s like that theory about how swatting a butterfly in New Jersey can somehow cause a nuclear war with Korea. Right?

Video: The Kid Daytona ft. Bun B – Air Born

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Directed by Derek Pike for Three/21 Media.

Last week I shot the “Air Born” video for The Kid Daytona featuring Bun B. The beat which is produced by 6th Sense has this real mellow floaty vibe to it so I knew I wanted to shoot the majority of this video with someone or something floating in midair. Since shooting in outerspace wasn’t in the budget, I had to settle for NYC. Luckily, Daytona knew someone here on earth that could defy gravity for us, EBC star Africa. We shot the whole video at a little park downtown, no permits. Aside from having to work around screaming kids at camp, and a basketball leagues scheduled game everything went surprisingly smooth. Daytona and Bun B are two of the nicest and most laid back artists I have ever worked with. Shout outs to the Three/21 fam Rik, Nancy and Steve, Jamal, Owen, Jordan at Sneaktip, Dan, Evan, and of course Daytona, Bun B, 6th and Africa.
