Earlier today, Danny Brown made the cover of his hometown paper with an investigative piece on Danny’s past (personal/music industry) and his future, including signing his deal and making new music:

Making the front page of your local paper for actions not resulting in court dates and jail time is a huge accomplishment and Danny Brown (complete with asymmetrical haircut) calls making it to the cover of the Detroit Metro Times “The biggest accomplishment of my musical career thus far”. Danny talks about his his stint with G-Unit, Time in Jail, Recording with a young Niki Minaj and his almost signing to Roc-A-Fella and all of the rest of the circumstance of balancing a burgeoning rap career with the realities of coming up in a neglected city under harrowing odds.

Best tattoo/song title EVER. Danny will be releasing a Deluxe Edition of his critically acclaimed mixtape The Hybrid which will include three new songs on February 8th and he’ll be performing for a sold out crowd this Thursday (February 3rd) at the Highline Ballroom with headliners Das Racist. Finally, Danny Brown will be signing his deal this week.
