After debuting the track here last month, I’m happy to present the WORLD PREMIERE of “We Can All Share”, the new video from Black Sheep Dres. The visual features cameos from a few Hip-Hop legends, including Grandmaster Caz, Devastating Tito and Mighty Mike C of the Fearless Four and the man himself, Kool Herc.

After you watch, be sure to check out our Heavy Rotation and Pick 6 pieces with the OG, they are both great reads.

Words by Daniel Isenberg (@StanIpcus)

Last week, we premiered a new song by The Black Sheep Dres (formerly known as just Dres of legendary Native Tongues duo Black Sheep), and also published our first ever Pick 6 with him, where he told us the stories behind six of his classic Black Sheep joints and solo collaborations. In addition, we spoke to Dres about the songs that have inspired his music over the years for our Heavy Rotation series. As you will see, he has a deep love for soul music, and also cuts that feature his favorite instrument, the piano. Premiere: The Black Sheep Dres – We Can All Share

Tuesday, May 20th, 2014

It is with great honor that we premiere The Black Sheep Dres’ latest release, “We Can All Share,” produced by DJ Bazooka Joe. This is the first of a series of leaks we can expect from Dres via Tommy Boy, and be excited, because he’s also been in the studio hard at work on a new project with DJ Premier and Showbiz. Check the flavor, and also, click the link below to read our Pick 6 interview with Dres (the first part of our double feature week with him) where he tells the stories behind six of his songs that we selected from his classic catalog. You’ll find out about the early Black Sheep days in North Carolina, why his feelings about Lyor Cohen led to him passing on a deal at Def Jam, collaborating with De La Soul, Q-Tip, Showbiz and A.G., and Twista, and much more.

Purchase on iTunes now.
