Stan Ipcus – Bout My Business

Thursday, August 17th, 2017

Shout to fellow writer and rap dad Rob Markman for inspiring me to get back in the booth. Here’s a new song I produced that highlights my daily work grind, which I originally performed on Sway In The Morning. Respect due to all the family men out there handling their business who can relate.

Stan Ipcus – Westcheddar (OG Version)

Tuesday, March 8th, 2016

Here’s an ode to the 914, courtesy of yours truly NahRight features writer Stan Ipcus. I released a live band recording of this song back in 2006 (which is available on iTunes and all the major streaming services), but it was originally written to this Bob James “Westchester Lady” loop. So to celebrate its 10th anniversary, I re-recorded it with the original sample. Enjoy, and for those of you who live in Westchester County or the surrounding tri-state area, come catch me live with Matisyahu this Friday, March 11th at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. It’s gonna be a fun night filled with special guests, including a close friend of the site by the name of Your Old Droog. Cop tickets here.

“Anyone can rap, it’s not a hard skill/Difference between me and you is that ip is ill.”

#WhiteboyWednesday is back once again. Here’s a new song I did with producer extraordinaire El RTNC, dedicated to all the wack rappers out there (you know who you are). Don’t sleep on RTNC’s instrumental releases, he’s been dropping a lotta heat lately. Dude is a beast.

Also, come enjoy a one-of-a-kind Hip-Hop Hanukah extravaganza with myself, Kosha Dillz, and some very special guests next Sunday, December 13th at Mercury Lounge in NYC. More info/tickets HERE. Hope to see you there, it’s gonna be a fun night for sure.

I had to go ahead and take a quick break from writing features to hop on my favorite Your Old Droog song of 2015. Thanks to DJ Skizz for leaving some beat on the end of this joint for me to loop up, and to Droog for the blessing to share.

Here’s a 4/20 tutorial in rap form on how to roll a European joint, by yours truly NahRight features writer Stan Ipcus. Shouts to Redman and Cypress Hill for the inspiration, and all my bros in the 914 who graduated from Dutches to white papers. Light up!

Stan Ipcus ft. Max Bent – Ride Out

Wednesday, May 21st, 2014

Here’s a new joint by yours truly the features editor at NahRight, Stan Ipcus, featuring my bro Max Bent from Baltimore on the hook (who is also one of the illest beatboxers on the planet), and produced by a new homie of mine, the very talented Tymo Beats out of Brooklyn. This song right here was crafted specifically for the warm weather, so roll the windows down, crack the sunroof open, and ride out. Enjoy.

The holidays can be hectic, especially when you’re a family man with young children and local in-laws. But I was lucky enough to find some time for myself after my wife and kids were asleep the other night to dig through my production archives and listen to some old loops I had stashed away (yes, I’m a rap artist too, or at least I used to be haha). While going through them, I found a few I thought would be cool to share as a personal introduction to a new series we’re kicking off in 2014 called Loop Library, where we ask producers to come up off some gems from their stash. Check out five of my favorite unused loops I had tucked away below.
