The return of N.E.R.D is complete with the official release of their first new album since 2010, NO ONE EVER REALLY DIES. After performing the album in full at Complex Con last month and feeding the internet with a steady stream of preview tracks over the last several weeks, Pharrell, Chad and Shay Haley see fit to spread the love to the world. Guests include Gucci Mane and Wale, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000 and of course, Rihanna on the lead single “Lemon.”

N.E.R.D ft. Kendrick Lamar – Don’t Don’t Do It

N.E.R.D drops “Don’t Don’t Do It,” the Kendrick Lamar-assisted cut from the new album No_One Ever Really Dies, out this Friday. As Pharrell explains in the video below, the track was inspired by the murder by police of Keith Scott and the seeming futility of cooperating with law enforcement only to be gunned down for your troubles.

Video: N.E.R.D & Rihanna – Lemon

The return of N.E.R.D is now official with the release of their new single “Lemon” featuring Rihanna. This is not entirely unexpected, as there had been strong hints at new music over the last several days before Pharrell basically confirmed yesterday that something would be arriving today on Beats 1.
