Rapper Big Pooh ft. Phonte – Seinfeld (Go Up)

Thursday, August 3rd, 2017

Well here is a rare gem of a Rap song. Recorded prior to the split with his Little Brother partner Phonte in 2010, Big Pooh liberates “Seinfeld (Go Up)” from his vaults. Produced by Swiff D, the track was originally recorded for Pooh’s Dirty Pretty Things solo outing, but the LB break-up and accompanying acrimonious feelings between the two MC’s lead to it being shelved indefinitely. Continue below to listen and read Pooh’s full explanation for why the track never dropped, and why it is being released now in an unmixed and unmastered form.

Bird ft. Little Brother & Notes To Self – Still Shine

Wednesday, June 5th, 2013

When I saw Little Brother credited on this song, I assumed it was an unreleased joint or a couple of disparate Phonte and Pooh verses slapped on the same track and marketed as a new LB feature. But nope, Tay shouts Pooh and even announces himself and his former partner as “Little Brother” in the beginning. Off Toronto producer Aaron Bird’s La Notte album, due out July 9th.

Read about how the track about here.

I remember reading what he wrote on FWMJ’s site but that story is extinct now. However it might still exist on the Okayplayer boards.
