Video: Danny Brown – Ain’t It Funny (Dir. by Jonah Hill)

Tuesday, March 28th, 2017

Yesterday on Twitter, Danny Brown and Jonah Hill teased a new collaboration that they were planning to drop today but they remained mysterious about what exactly this joint venture might consist of. This afternoon they revealed the project and thankfully it doesn’t involve Jonah rapping in any form. It’s actually Danny’s new video for the Paul White-produced “Ain’t It Funny”, off the Atrocity Exhibition LP, which Jonah directed. The video features Danny as the drunk uncle in a demented 80’s sitcom of the same name and it premiered via Periscope a short while ago.

Jonah Hill Interviews Action Bronson

Thursday, May 7th, 2015

Action Bronson was recently interviewed by his friend, Oscar nominated actor and marijuana afficiando Jonah Hill, for Interview magazine. They spoke on a number of topics including Hill’s attempts to get Action cast in a film, the tired comparisons to Ghostface, his love for the Blue Chips series, Action’s BMW Touring Series wagon, stagerushers and how ECW wrestling influences Bronson’s show and, of course, somersaults:

I always watched, like, Rambo and crazy action movies, and I always wanted to be them. I wanted to be Steven Seagal and [Jean-Claude] Van Damme. Just recently I was watching Van Damme, trying to practice doing splits.

Q-Tip Partners with Leonardo DiCaprio & Jonah Hill For Native Tongues Inspired TV Series

Friday, January 10th, 2014

Well now this looks interesting. Deadline is reporting that longtime friends Q-Tip and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up, along with Jonah Hill, to produce a TV series based on Tip’s experiences during the Native Tongues era.

It’s unclear what type of storyline the show will follow, but it’s being described as a drama that will focus on the friendships of the artists involved with the movement and the influence of their music both at the time and now.

The as yet untitled show will be produced through DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company and will be pitched to networks next week. The NT collective, anchored by A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and The Jungle Brothers was of course one of the most influential and groundbreaking alliances of artists in Rap history, so the stories should be deep.

Diddy runs after Russell Brand and Jonah Hill in the first scene and after the jump, he addresses his staff. Quite a bit funnier than the previous clip that surfaced.

Video: Diddy on the set of Get Him To The Greek

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Here’s Diddy on the set of Get Him To The Greek, the new movie he’s in that’s produced by Judd Apatow. My boy had told me it was a spinoff from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but I just watched this and realized they just gave Jonah Hill and the Brit rocker the spinoff… Kinda disappointed.
