Sango – Pôr Do Sol Parte 2

Sango is part of a crop of producers that I’ve been listening to for the better part of the last year or so that I’ve been disinterested with rap as a whole. He’s down with the Soulection crew and is a key figure in the “remix” movement that’s been taking place on Soundcloud and various music blogs. They’ve been doing just fine without the adoration of (most) rap blogs, boasting a very loyal, healthy and organic following on social media (i.e. how it’s supposed to be done).

This song is an unreleased bonus track from his last beat tape Da Rocinha 2 which you can stream on his Bandcamp and was released to plug his limited-edition vinyl, out on Jakarta Records, that is now sold out. I particularly enjoyed his edit of Nothing Was The Same‘s “From Time” w/ Atu, that my wifey Jhene showed love to as well:
