Ghostface on Scrapped Jay Z Collaboration

Speaking to Vlad TV, Starks speaks on Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail track “Heaven”, which  was supposed to feature verses from himself and Raekwon. Earlier this month Rae spoke on the song and said that it didn’t come together because of Ghost’s schedule. Here, Ghost reveals that he actually wrote and submitted a verse, but it was too late and so it didn’t make the cut. He offers a few details about the verse as well, saying it had a heavy Islamic theme and featured references to the Quran.

Video: Raekwon & RZA on Settling Their Differences

MTV New spoke to Raekwon, RZA and Ghostface about the pair’s disagreement about, among other things, the creative direction of the new Wu-Tang album A Better Tomorrow and how they eventually came to see eye to eye.

The album now has a release date of December 2nd and will be distributed by Warner Bros. RZA recently announced a partnership with speaker company Boombotix that will produce a special edition Bluetooth speaker thyat bears the Wu branding and ships with 8 songs from the LP.

10 Classic Showtime at the Apollo Performances

These days, you can tune into any number of late night shows on various networks and you’re pretty much guranteed to come across at least one decent Rap performance per week. Failing that, you can always jump on Youtube or your favorite blog and review the countless live clips that find their way into the “cloud” each day. This was not the case in the 90s.

Back then if you wanted to see a live performance by your favorite rapper your options were limited to The Arsenio Hall Show, In Living Color and on Saturday nights, Showtime At The Apollo. The iconic Harlem stage, which hosted countless performances by the legendary Black artists of our time over many decades, also hosted some of Rap’s greatest. Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge – 12 Reasons To Die (12 Delucas Deluxe Editions)

Today GetOnDown announced the upcoming release of two seperate limited edition deluxe packages for Ghost and Adrian Younge’s 12 Reasons To Die LP.

Both packages include a copy of Vol. 1 of the 12 Reasons To Die graphic novel, CD copies of both the vocal and instrumental versions of the Japanese release and a cassette featuring Apollo Brown remixes of every track on the LP.

The Private Press package will also include a 12″ x 12″ wood block print with a an exclusive 12 Reasons To Die graphic, as well as a few other goodies exclusive to that set.
