Kendrick Lamar Talks Africa, “Duckworth” with Dave Chappelle

Thursday, July 13th, 2017

Interview magazine just published a new Q&A between Kendrick Lamar and Dave Chappelle that accompanies their new August cover which is worth your 10 minutes. Referencing the conversation taking place among comedians in the wake of the Kathy Griffin Trump severed head scandal, Dave asks K.Dot if concerns over how some of his more controversial lyrics might be received ever affect his writing process. The pair also discuss how he’s been handling superstardom, returning to Compton after seeing the world, his experience in Africa and the revealing DAMN track “Duckworth.” Read the full exchange, and check out the photoshoot by Gregory Harris, here.
