The new fashion documentary Fresh Dressed, directed by Sacha Jenkins and produced by Nas, will be available on-demand and in theaters on June 26th.

The Big Homie Sacha Jenkins of ego trip/Mass Appeal was at the Sundance Film Festival this week for the world premiere of his new documentary Fresh Dressed, which takes an unprecedented look at the history of some of Hip-Hop’s most notable fashion trends and the poverty stricken culture that spawned them. Nas both co-produced and offers commentary alongside other iconic Rap figures such as Big Daddy Kane, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. They also spoke with fashion luminaries like Harlem’s Dapper Dan and the legendary Shirt Kings. Check out a couple of preview clips from the film up top and below.

Life+Times profiles groundbreaking hood clothier Dapper Dan, who is joined for the interview by his friend, the equally esteemed Pee Wee Kirkland. Dan speaks on his early life in Harlem and how he learned the game as a lookout for the neighborhood hustlers before taking a trip to Africa and returning to open his business on 125th Street. He talks about lacing LL Cool J, The Fat Boys, Jam Master Jay and Run, and how the infamous fight between Mike Tyson and Mitch Green blew up his spot. Your man pulled out the original Louis goose that Alpo owned. That’s some legendary shit right there.
