Dabrye ft. Roc Marciano, Quelle Chris & Danny Brown – The Appetite

Tuesday, November 7th, 2017

Michigan based producer Dabrye brings together a killer lineup of Roc Marciano, Quelle Chris and Danny Brown for “The Appetite,” a new release from his upcoming album Three/Three. The unique styles of these three lyricists are tied together by a production that evokes 80’s era 8-bit video games and the result is pure heat. Listen below courtesy of the adult swim Singles series and look for Dabrye’s project to drop in February 2018.

The World According To Danny Brown

Thursday, July 13th, 2017

In this new interview with Vevo, Danny Brown riffs for 4 minutes on adjusting to his life in the burbs (he’s got wildlife problems), his penchant for schnitzel when he’s in Europe, the ethical treatment of chickens, ratchet white girls and being a cat person.

Yesterday on Twitter, Danny Brown and Jonah Hill teased a new collaboration that they were planning to drop today but they remained mysterious about what exactly this joint venture might consist of. This afternoon they revealed the project and thankfully it doesn’t involve Jonah rapping in any form. It’s actually Danny’s new video for the Paul White-produced “Ain’t It Funny”, off the Atrocity Exhibition LP, which Jonah directed. The video features Danny as the drunk uncle in a demented 80’s sitcom of the same name and it premiered via Periscope a short while ago.

As you may have heard, UK producer and frequent Danny Brown collaborator Paul White is dropping a new EP this coming Friday called Accelerator. As far as I can tell, the EP is only two songs (and two instrumentals) deep and Danny appears on both, but he has resisted people’s urge to call it a “new Danny Brown EP”, insisting that it’s Paul’s project which he just showed up to support. Whatever you want to call it, it’s two new Danny Brown and Paul White tracks and the title song is out today via the insane video you see above. The clip stars actor Ewen MacIntosh chasing brain around London (literally, get your mind out the gutter).
