Video: Alchemist Interview w/ Gooch

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Gooch talks to Alchemist about touring with (the sober) Eminem, and what they now have to do make time go by:

“We play a lot of Uno on tour with Em. He enjoys my Uno game. Now that he’s sober, it’s a little bit different these days. Not many tequila parties before the show. It’s more like 80s music and Uno, and we’re ready to rock. Private jets, Uno, pizza, 80s music… Air Supply, “Fast Car” Tracy Chapman, Hall and Oates. That’s basically what we do.”

Make sure to go here to get Gooch’s insight on the project, from even before this interview took place. Alchemist’s Chemical Warfare (finally) drops July 7th. Al speaks to Nodfactor about his new album Chemical Warfare as well as his side projects with Oh No (Gangrene) and Evidence (Step Brothers.) Looking forward to all of them shits.

This has to be the funniest interview I’ve ever done with a producer. The Alchemist was in pretty good mood when I sat down to speak with him about his new album, Chemical Warfare.

The unofficial third member of Mobb Deep talks about why he went outside the box on this album, his group projects with Oh No and Evidence and lets us know how Prodigy is doing in the bing.

Video: Alchemist feat. Twista & Maxwell – Smile (Free Prodigy Version)

Friday, June 12th, 2009

According to OKP, this is the HQ, non edited, Director’s Cut version:

The labeled leaked the video for “Smile” yesterday but, disappointingly, they released the “made for TV” version (MTV, specifically). Both the song AND the video are edited (for some reason they required that Al’s “FREE PRODIGY” t-shirt be blurred out).

MTV conspiring against P? UH OH….

Directed by Jason Goldwatch. Chemical Warfare hits stores on July 7th.
