Marvel’s new Netflix-backed series Luke Cage is going to be a must-watch for Rap fans. This updated take on the bulletproof Black super-hero introduced by the legendary comic company in the early 70’s is being helmed by veteran Hip-Hop journalist, screenwriter and producer Cheo Hodari Coker and a quick look at the trailer will tell you that it contains a number of references to the culture and the music. On top of that, the show is being scored by A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge, who also produced an original soundtrack which we’re getting our first taste of today via “Bulletproof Love” featuring Method Man.

Listen below and catch Luke Cage on Netflix now.

You should listen to both below and pre-order SAII because Adrian Younge is talented as shit.

Inspired by the new Quentin Tarantino film The Hateful Eight, and the work of legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone (who scored the film), the RZA remakes Adrian Younge’s “Hands of God.” The track, which features vocals from Karolina and Laetitia Sadier, will appear in its original form on Younge’s new project Something About April II, due on January 21st.
