Video: A-Trak, Falcons & Young Thug ft. 24hrs – Ride For Me

A-Trak drops a 90’s NYC skate inspired visual for “Ride For Me,” his new collaboration with Young Thug, Falcons and 24hrs. The visual was directed by Zoo York co-founder Eli Morgan Gesner and employs a bunch of archival footage featuring skate legends such as Harold Hunter, Justin Pierce and the Zoo York skate team. The video premiered at House of Vans last night and A-Trak has announced a donation to the Harold Hunter Foundation.

Video: CeasRock – Rocuments Series (Episode 1)

CeasRock’s been putting out some good content lately and it’s not about to stop. We premiered his last project DSGNRZ: The Pattern Tape back in August, from which he dropped “Prodigy” that A-Trak/Simahlak played in their comprehensive Montreal mix for Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show (listen to it below). This was directed by the good folks at 5 Pound Media. Look out for episode 2 with some more amazing shots from Montreal’s NDG neighborhood.

Rick Rubin Teams with Flying Lotus, A-Trak on Star Wars Headspace

With The Force Awakens vaporizing box office records and two more Star Wars films on the way, the iconic franchise will be dominating pop culture conversations for the foreseeable future. Legendary record man and genius whisperer Rick Rubin is getting in on the fun with a new compilation album called Stars Wars Headspace which is going to feature original productions from the likes of Flying Lotus, A-Trak, Baauer, Röyksopp and Shlomo among others. The project not only draws direct inspiration from George Lucas’ space opera, it also incorporates audio samples from the films themselves such has the distinctive bleeps of R2D2 and voices of Wookies.

CJ Flemings – Coming Through Freestyle

This might be the first time CJ Flemings gets posted on the site. The 19-year old has had a solid year starting off with fellow Montrealer and producer Lunice playing CJ’s “Ain’t Ready” at SXSW last year, adding it as a regular part of his set and even bringing him out to perform it in different cities. Lunice also featured him on a recently released track called “Weather Man” (stream it below).

CJ released his latest EP Next One To Enjoy two weeks ago which you can listen to after the jump. If you’re interested in hearing more from him I’d suggest starting at his collaboration mixtape with J.O The Corrupted (who we’ve featured numerous times) entitled “Political Party”.
