After being called out by Apple’s Tim Cook, Dr. Dre becomes the latest celebrity to fall victim to the Ice Bucket Challenge, a well intentioned stunt that was supposed to bring attention to ALS, but which has devolved into a self-serving DIY publicity stunt that everybody is using to get some social media juice. I would hope that after setting up this elaborate bucket dumping contraption and paying a film crew to shoot and edit this, Dre actually donated some bread to the cause. At the end he calls out Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg. I see no end to this fad coming any time soon.

If you’ve been anywhere near the internet this week, you may have noticed a proliferation of videos of people dumping buckets of icy water on their heads and maybe you wondered wtf was going on. The stunt is called the Ice Bucket Challenge and the purpose is to raise awareness about Lou Gehrig’s disease, which is more formally known as ALS. That’s cool and all, but some people have been so overcome with excitement at the prospect of having frigid water poured over their heads that they went ahead and filmed videos with zero mention of the disease they’re supposedly trying to bring awareness too. So props to Wayne for doing it right, plus, that was a big ass bucket and it looked full.
