Leimart Park MC Co$$ is preparing the release of his LP Before I Awoke (features from Blu, Aloe Blacc, Sene and Shawn Jackson; with production by Exile) on June 21st on Tres Records and asked us to premiere his latest mixtape, Sleepwalking, featuring all new material that won’t be appearing on the album.
After posting Jon Connor on the site for the very first time back in September, Elite (co-producer of “Who Dat”) hit me on IM saying he thought Connor was sick and that he wanted to give him a beat. I, at first, didn’t believe him… because we rarely (if ever) get any positive feedback from posting new artists, but I still put him in touch with the right people to see that this collaboration comes to fruition. Fast-forward to today, when this song hit the inbox and they let me premiere it.
Freeway is prepping the release of his forthcoming album, Diamond In The Rough and what better way to do so than to enlist the person that helped him craft the last one. Rhymesayers Ent. let Nah Right premiere the MP3 and OnSMASH drop the video at the same time. Early!

All the tracks will be available for download on the Levi’s website. For the kick-off, they asked us to premiere Nas’ cover of Slick Rick’s “Hey Young World.”

Along with some behind the scenes footage of Nas in the studio laying down his vocals for Levi’s “2010 Revival Recordings.”
This easily was the best beat on BOAB2.5. Thankfully it’s also featured on The U.N.’s Heat In Here mixtape, so we can hear it how it was supposed to be heard… without LA The Darkman rapping on it Drama screaming over it.
