Video: Cam’ron Dissing Kanye?

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

Jimmy posted these two videos of him and Cam’ron in the studio on Twitter last night. He was previewing a song they had just cut over Kanye and Pusha T’s “Runaway” beat with Jim on the chorus, and Cam is talking over the music in the first video (after the jump.) The second video (above) is a snippet of the Cam’ron verse, and although the “Jigga” part is inaudible, it’s pretty clear how he feels about Kanye:

And Kanye, you a sucka nigga
Dissed Dame, so my attitude is fuck the nigga
Stuck to Jigga, how you gon’ live with that?
Took the beat, now come get it back…

My question is, in that case, why were they shouting out Kanye in the U.N.Stream a few months ago, telling people to leave him alone and that they love him despite the shit that he was going through at the time. Cam’s manager Big Joe even told Kanye to call him, probably to get Cam some beats or even get him on Ye’s new project. Now, was it the fact that he didn’t respond what compelled them to record this? Or is it the fact that they have an album coming out now? Is reigniting old Roc-A-Fella beef the only way to make a “Dipset Reunion” relevant these days? Or maybe Kanye did answer? Maybe they were just really high?

Video: Curtis Talks Backstage Convo With Jay-Z

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

MTV asked Curtis about his candid photo with Jay-Z backstage at Thursday’s show (taken by Lenny S.,) where they appear to be mid-conversation.

I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z.

I take people’s actions as if it’s genuinely how they feel. I can only use what I saw you do as if that’s what you meant. I can’t understand what your motivation was prior to that.

Their talk probably had something to do with Hov’s subliminals on “Monster”, which was in response to Curtis’ obvious string-pulling in the Beans beef.

His tone in this interview is somber, but I can’t tell if they made a truce or if he’s getting ready to drop a response tonight. This IS 50 (ha) we’re talking about. Exploits more controversy than the GOP, he’s the true Black Republican.

He also talks about a conversation he had with Puff the night before.

Young Jeezy: “It’s Not A Diss”

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Shaheem Reid @ MTV News got Jeezy on the phone to speak on yesterday’s “Death Before Dishonor (B.M.F. Freestyle)”.

It’s not a diss. First of all, I’m not gonna get nothing out of dissing that guy. That’s one. What am I gonna get out of dissing him? I think sometimes people can read into things too deep. They trippin’ man. They crazy out there. Basically, if homie takes that as a diss, he’s insecure, and anybody else out there who does, they are insecure.

When it comes to that [Black Mafia Family] situation, I’m gonna talk about it a little flyer anyway. I happen to know that situation very well.

On the “you don’t know the crew” bars specifically:

That’s for real. That’s for anybody. I got niggas in prison behind that shit. I feel that if you speaking on shit, you gotta at least know who you talking about. That’s like niggas speaking on Cash Money: If he ain’t never been a part of Cash Money, [then] I’mma speak it better if I’m a part of Cash Money. To me, [BMF] was real. I know all the members. Who else would say a line like that, but me? I’m one of the few people who can say that, so I said it. That’s real life, though. You gotta know the crew, baby. I thought that was the purpose of the game: to get on records and talk your shit, right?

Subliminals, for what? What’s understood ain’t gotta be said. I didn’t think people would take the record like that. I did it like I would have any Shawty Lo record, any Rocko record, whoever. I got on [Ross' beat] and did it like how I do it, the best way I know how. I don’t know if because the BMF situation is for real for me that everybody is like, “Ooh. Oh, shot.” Twitter is a muthafucka, by the way.

He also said “Real BMF” was recorded before Ross’ BMF was released. After Ross’ blew up, he decided not to use it for TM103, so he just put it out there.

Previously: Jeezy ft. Big Meech – B.M.F. (The Real Blowin’ Money Fast) | Video: Rick Ross Speaks On Jeezy’s “Real B.M.F.”

Here’s what Ross told MTV last month about “The Real B.M.F.”:

I really don’t know what the thought process was behind it. It confused me that it was called “The Real Blowin’ Money Fast”. I would have called it “The [Real] Black Mafia Family”, if it’s the real BMF.

You may have to ask him. Other than that, we still reppin’, we still ridin’, and [my] record is getting love everywhere, so it’s all good.

Audio: Curtis Denies Capitol Records Deal, Fires More Shots At Diddy

50-cent-in-berlin-feb-23-2010

Curtis phoned into Whoo Kid’s show earlier this afternoon.

Before rambling on about straight-to-DVD being a good thing, he called Craig Davis, the Capitol/EMI exec who claimed Curtis signed to them, an “idiot for running his mouth because there’s no deal done.”

He also spent 10min continuing his beef with Diddy (despite literally jumping in his seat about Diddy’s “Angels” on Flex this time last year…)

DJ Doo Wop – We Got Gunz (Solar Diss) [Snippet]

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

guru-dj-doo-wop

The hacker that infiltrated Solar’s accounts said that this guy really wasn’t feeling Doo Wop. It’s about 40 seconds short but that’s enough to see that he got the memo. It’s a good thing they got to put out a Guru tribute before addressing everything that’s spilled out since.
