greatest solo album in music history…apex of Prince’s career…most musically and creatively diverse album ever…

    no disrespect…

but this nigga Raheem Devaughn dont conjure up any comparisons or musical likeness to Mr. Nelson…he was and always will be deangelo’s son…and deangelo is one of Prince’s many orphaned son-sons…so i guess devaughn is maybe a grand son-son by default..

    LMAOOOLOLOL!

It’s all true though. Only person ROOTS need to vibe with creatively is Leela James. Possibly even Jill Scott again.

You can’t “disrespect” me with your personal subjective opinion. We disagree. That’s it.

If D’Angelo is Prince’s “son”, then Prince is James Brown’s “son”. But those type of arguments are absurd, as they minimize the individual musical accomplishments of everyone in the discussion.

    LMAOOO.

    FOHWTBS bruh.

  14. Sonny Moore Says:

    nah..

prince created most all his like 40 albums (plus other peoples joints) from scratch playing every rhythm and percussive instrument available .plus brought the linn 808 drum machine to black and rock music…and made flicks and had the mystical swag and persona…jamed freestyled gibberish over ill beats from his overlooked and often underoaid band.

james did father rap and hiphop

    thats another story tho

prince just dance and scream like james sometimes

    thatd it tho

james brown couldnt have made “must be something in the water”…

    if anything

prince is sly, from sly & the family stones, son

  15. Sonny Moore Says:

mixed with jimi hendrix and little richard, visually

“jamed freestyled gibberish over ill beats from his overlooked and often underoaid band.”

James Brown had multiple bands: The Flames and multiple incarnations of The JBs, many of whom went on to have successful post JB careers (Bootsy coming most quickly to mind, but Maceo still tours to this day). James Brown also had numerous songs that were far from “gibberish”, I have no idea what James Brown records you have in your collection, but you might want to buy some news ones.

    >james brown couldnt have made “must be something in the water”…

    1) The song is called “Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)”.

    2) And Prince couldn’t have made “Funky Drummer”. Have fun looking for the Prince song similar to “The Root” while you’re at it (since you want to claim that D is Prince’s “son”). Which goes back to my point that the half-baked attempts at musical discussion in the C-section at Nah often belittle the musical catalog of everyone discussed.

    >prince is sly, from sly & the family stones, son

Sly doesn’t have a “Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)”-like song in his catalog, either.

Give up on this argument, you can’t even maintain your line of argument for more than a few paragraphs without contradicting yourself (not to mention that you can’t even get the song titles right for the songs you’re talking about).
