In The Lab with Sean C & LV

The names Sean C and LV really only became known to the casual Hip-Hop fan following their extensive work on Jay-Z’s 2007 album American Gangster, but trust, these guys have been putting in work long before that and their roots in the Rap game run deep. For the latest installment of our In The Lab series, Ip caught up with the production duo to learn about their creative process, what equipment they prefer, their sample digging habits and their experiences with some of the game’s most respected MCs. They also gave us some behind the scenes insight into the creation of some of the classic records they had a hand in, like Big Pun’s “100%” and Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock The Hustle”, as well as a couple of the bangers from their new album Loud Dreams Vol. 1.
