Memphis Bleek Not a Fan of Jay-Z’s “Will” Shoutout

“My son don’t wanna hear Hov got us, he wanna know Dad got us”

Speaking to Jack Thriller for Thisis50, Bleek reveals that he’s not a huge fan of Jay’s famous line from the “Diamonds (Remix)”:

“Bleek could be one hit away his whole career
As long as I’m alive he’s a millionaire
And even if I die he’s in my will somewhere
So he could just kick back and chill somewhere
Oh yeah, he don’t even have to write rhymes
The Dynasty like my money last 3 lifetimes”

He says that ever since that song dropped, people have dealt with him under the assumption that he is straight for life and isn’t trying to achieve anything else as a Rapper. He also cites good old pride and wanting to stand on his own two feet as a man and provide for his family. I can respect it.

He also talks about growing up with Jay in Marcy and how he eventually became his Rap apprentice.
