Watch a Trailer for Shake The Dust, a Break Dancing Documentary Executive Produced by Nas

Here’s a trailer for Shake The Dust, a new documentary by filmmaker Adam Sjoberg about break dancing as it is practiced by youth across the globe in the 21st Century. The director visited locations in Uganda, Cambodia, Yemen and Colombia and spoke to the dancers about how the art form has inspired them to demand change. Nas has signed on as an executive producer and will contribute original music to the film’s soundtrack.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, he explained his involvement:

“What these kids are doing around the world reminds me why I fell in love with hip-hop and how important it is as a creative and constructive outlet,” Nas said in a statement. “After hearing Adam’s vision for this project and hearing the stories, I was incredibly excited to help bring the film to global audiences who need to hear this surprising message of empowerment.”
