Watch 50 Cent’s American Gangster Audition Tape

Well, what do we have here? This appears to be an audition tape made by Curtis back in 2007 for Denzel Washington’s Frank Lucas biopic American Gangster. Boo-Boo was reportedly trying to land the role of Huey Lucas, Frank’s brother, which ultimately ended up going to the vastly more qualified Chiwetel Ejiofor.

In this clip we see 50 running through a few different scenes with an offscreen female reading partner. At around 3:15 in, he trots out his go-to “Look I’m a serious actor” parlor trick: the on-demand tears.
