“is kendrick aggy cause Drake didnt make a response”
^ Drake responded to Kendrick with that sideways Hot 97 interview comment about Kendrick not “being real” when they met after “Control” was released (in response to an Angie Martinez question about “Control”), because he said Kendrick was friendly with him when they met and he expected Kendrick to show “angry feelings” when they in person after he heard the verse (LMAO). What Drake didn’t discuss was why he didn’t say all of these things to Kendrick’s face when they met, instead of waiting till a pre-album release interview with Angie Martinez to start popping off. So, yeah, Drizzy earned that subliminal dart…
That’s what I’m sayin. Nobody was listening to Common way before that.
^ If anything, Com himself made the decision to focus more on movies. He’s got two films in production right now, just did “Now You See Me”, why would he go from movie money back to music money? He might put out a random record every four years to remind people that he raps, but dude has no incentive to be running around doing club dates. He has gold plaques on his wall, a 20 year career, and he’s making more money in Hollywood than he ever did as a rapper. If Drake was smart, he would have asked Common who his agent was. LMAO.
instead of waiting till a pre-album release interview with Angie Martinez to start popping off.
^ this is the chess players approach… you respond when it suits you most.
Hov would let his disgruntled associates speak aggy and make melting songs and wouldn’t respond at all. Then once he’s ready to drop a album spit a couple bars at em all.
and he’s making more money in Hollywood than he ever did as a rapper.
That’s kind of sad because he’s barely doing anything worth mentioning in hollywood. His name doesn’t sell movies at all. I heard he is the worst part about Hell on Wheels. And he was barely even there in Now You See Me.
Someone was able to obtain thousands of usernames, passwords, and personal info of silkroad users. It is assumed the feds have this, because they speak about the sample messages of names that the hacker sent. As a result, DPR attempted to have him killed.
Dude was doing the American thing and protecting people’s personal info buy having the thief killed. Shouldn’t even be a trial.
Ironically Biggie didn`t know what real beef was either, yet people diefy him like some kinda underworld overlord and Jigga and Nasir. All great thespians of street culture from a distance not actually lived.
I know it sounds idealistic but if I was a big rap star,I would want to be the best PERIOD outside of sales and hype.
> Why don’t you approach your beatmaking like this? I hear a beat from you, forget about it, and them months later I hear another beat from you which showcases little progression from the last beat I heard. No shots.
>>Dude was doing the American thing and protecting people’s personal info buy having the thief killed. Shouldn’t even be a trial.
Not even including the drug charges, he’s fucked. The hitmen he wired money to were actually undercover agents. $80k for one hit (the agents even sent him a staged pic BB-style as proof) and $150k for another.
He’s got a public defender because he can’t use his dirty money… That reddit thread is full of gems…
I’m surprised there isn’t a rise in regular guy getting in over his head shows like breaking bad due to its success
the slickest thing about breaking bad is the shift in tone. the early episodes were kinda comical and silly. the transition to the dark rise of a drug don tale was flawless and is really hard to duplicate.
most bb copycat shows will come out the gate with one style and stick to it.
that said bb is overrated and jesse’s wigger character always irked me alittle.
I’m considering replacing Breaking Bad with Boardwalk Empire
I’m trying to get into the Wire, nearly finished season 1, but damn this show is boring. Feels almost like a chore to watch.
Stick with The Wire. Once you get the characters, you’ll love every single episode. There’s a reason it’s mentioned in the level with Breaking Bad.
I’m a fan of Boardwalk Empire but if you think The Wire is boring, there’s no way you’ll like Boardwalk Empire. It takes a lot patience for every season to build up to a great payoff. Even then I still wouldn’t say it’s in the all-time greats league of shows.
If you want something else to watch though: The Shield. Even though I don’t agree with his overall point that it’s better a show than BB, he makes some good points for The Shield:
As Breaking Bad winds down, conventional wisdom says it’s a contender for Best Show Ever, along with The Wire and The Sopranos. No argument there. But major argument here: The Shield should be in that conversation, too. Shawn Ryan’s saga of Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis) and the Strike Team, which aired on FX from 2002 to 2008, remains—pardon the expression—criminally underrated. It was every bit as riveting and consistent as Breaking Bad. And the two shows are also remarkably similar. In many ways, The Shield was Breaking Bad before Breaking Bad.
Its very telling that you seem to be content with 2000 plays from roughly 47 beats. There are producers half your age out here getting placements, whats stopping you? Young chop, mike will, How many producers have we witnessed flourish these last few years while you struggle to get a placement on projects no one gives a shit about.
The rumors are true. It has been confirmed that Mayweather will be facing the British boxer on May 3rd. Amir Khan who is 26 years old, won the silver medal in the 2004 Olympics and has a record of 28-3.
Mayweather who has been criticized in the past for hand-picking his opponents is estimated to generate $200 million dollars for his upcoming fight with Khan. His Previous fight broke the record for most PPV buys. His opponent is expected to make at least $6 million before PPV’s are counted.
“I don’t know why they been lying but your shit is not that inspiring”
That could literally be about anybody
It could. But we all know it’s about Kendrick.
Drake is prolly a lil jealous K. Dot gets all kinds of praise for good Kid M.A.A.D. City from the so called hip-hop purists, the same ones who never give Drake a break or any kind of credit for being a dope MC.
Drake was clearly mad at what wasnt even a shot at him. He even said he doesn’t know who of the rappers mentioned would be willing to do a song with kendrick. He is mad at the attention the shot received, he sounded like a bitch when he said he’s not into doing a song with kendrick. The white bitch came out of him.
I’m trying to get healthier, cut out some of the fucked up shit I take into my body. About to do a detox/cleansing treatment as well & I’m looking for healthy dietary supplements too. What does this powder do, cause I’m two blocks away from the vitamin shoppe & I’m about to make that walk, if it sounds good.
Besides that, why would Drake complain about Kendrick not saying something to his face when he never said anything when he was in front Kendrick. LMAO. These dudes can’t even keep their story straight within one interview answer.
when he prefaced that line with a “I got love for you all” it immediately lost some of the impact it coulda had.
^ So, when Nas said “What’s sad is I love you ’cause you’re my brother” in “Ether”, you thought that made the song “lose some of the impact it coulda had”? LMAO. Get outta here…the song obviously had plenty of impact, that’s why all these dudes are still talking about it weeks later…
Drake bout to jump out the window by fucking with the rapper with the Johnny 5 – Short Circuit voice.
He needs to tighten the drawstrings on his panties & do what he’s been doing…making music for the bitches & emo niggas. I know he’s feeling himself right now but this “beef” shit can be detrimental to his career.
Gotta agree with sick, you can’t be dropping gems if you can’t apply them to your own life
