Undeniable. Versus had Spitta’s dna all up in too, from the “ya nowhere in my rear mirr-or…” to kicking off the verse with the Tribe quote. Not that Jay aint done that kinda thing before but still. Kinda crazy since Curren$y’s so obviously influenced by Hov & it comes round full circle.

Part of me wonders whether there’s bigger tactics at play with that tho. Cos there’s running themes counter to any reaching for white acceptance. Wondered the same on WTT. I could just be reaching myself tho & even if there is it’s probably not meant to be explicitly laid bare for a reason – kinda taps into Casket’s rant about rapgenius “decoding” lyrics.

If your company fails they coming after you, debt collection, even you file for bankruptcy.

They can foreclose your crib, take your ride and garnish your wages.

So it’s cool if you spend within your means, maybe a few thousand.

But if you trying to do it big and you’re not making any money you’re burying yourself literally.

I never took out loans, find people to invest, start a crowd-fund, or borrow from your peoples.

Shit is real, it’s also takes a toll on you mentally, my brain is still healing from taking so many L’s. It would be worse if I had creditors and debt collection coming after me.

Good thing is even though I’m broke now, I have a clean slate and good credit if I really needed it. Especially if you’re starting a business in a completely different state.

I asked about New York because here it’s costs BIG MONEY for whatever you chose to do …even sock carts and hot dog stands.

I dont see what’s so unrealistic about it. Clearly Hov’s the vastly superior rapper, had 20x the career Spitta will ever have & had much more influence on him than vice versa, etc etc…

But that dont mean he cant/wont take influence from him, or others. At one point on MCHG Hov’s using the Drake high pitched delivery that he jacked in turn from Meek. At the start of Tom Ford his flow’s damn near a rip off of MIA on that Bad Girls track etc. “140 characters in these streets!” sounds like Ross’ ghost is using him as his own personal Whoopie Goldberg.

If nothing else I could see Hov respecting Spitta’s come up & self-made hustle, plus his understanding of how to cultivate a brand, enough to take note of his music.
