Lil Wayne’s appearence on The Real Her is essential to the integrity of the albums concept. Follow the narrative, Drakes in the club being seduced by some girl she just met after the failure of his last relationship. Lil Wayne and Andre 3000s verses are back to back because they’re playing two sides of the ego, Lil Wayne representing the “id” while Andre 3k’s representing the “super ego”. The beat skews and goes reversed during Waynes verse, he’s the devil sitting on Drake’s shoulder, then the beat changed again going crystal clear for 3ks verse.
As for Ross, he represents what Drake cant be but desperately wants to, Drake starts Lord Knows by searching through his girls phone in a pathetic attempt to settle his paranoia. Even when he knows hes supposed to be living it up, he cant help himself.
