I`m hearing some of the same words and phrasing from the Kid.He switched up on production too that didn`t suit his style.Forced hooks are in the mix as well. That Boxtops joint was his opus imo.

Co-no on the Morris Cheatnut nigga.
He fucked his own career up trying to play the sex symbol role every damn movie. The worse part about the box he painted himself in was that he was actually a decent actor, but he wanted that Ladies Man title. He shoulda known women switch flavors once another one is marketed to them.
> The only other option is to not work, you think these black actors can afford to be choosy with the roles they pick? That is a privilege extended to few actors and actresses with my complexion.

explain what you mean by that.

Short answer Salaam Remi, but i’ll elaborate
Nas has played it safe as far as the beats are concerned, sometimes it works & we get a “you’re da man” but for the most part bland & boring, mind you this is the same guy that didn’t wanna do “the message” because he thought it was too jiggy ask Steve Stoute
As a lyricist & wordsmith he might be the goat, but you kinda have to force yourself to listen especially these days
Dre, Preemo, RZA, Ye all got heat for the kid but he won’t pick up the phone
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:43 am
overall S.I.C.K you’re right. The mixtape is solid but not exceptional… I fuck with it though.
