   Lost a good friend a year ago like that. Friends through high-school and kept in touch at points throughout college. Smash one morning after letting me sleep in her bed with her during a snowstorm.

   All she asked was that I keep in touch. The absolute minimum of being a friend. I got busy. Self involved. Didn’t do it.

   Hit her up randomly while bored one evening. Found out she had been in town for a week at that point. I asked why she ain’t call me. She said “Why would I tell you??”. I knew it was a wrap after that.

   Haven’t spoken since.

   Here’s the thing my happiness doesn’t come from partying every night & living it up, it comes from being content & knowing shit could be far worse

   Shiet seems like yesterday i was 20 living it up not a care in the world now i’m turning 25 next month, time ain’t waiting for no man so i appreciated every moment

   You can have a family, money, great job & still be unhappy

   Same with fucking a different bitch everynight

   life is interesting

   why?

   because i share the exact OPPOSITE view

   my happiness DOES come from partying every night , living it up , turning up , smashing cool sluts , waking up wit ya head rining from turn indulengence , rinse & repeat

   my happiness DOES come from that

   im not content because things could be far worse

   because things could be FAR BETTER

   Being enamored is a gift and a curse.

   Makes for very volatile relationships. Highs and lows happen swiftly, and in high contrast.

   But is there any other way to live?
