opinion
February 6th, 2013 at 5:23 pm
The massacre had some gritty songs but then shitty pop music filter also. 6/10 I’d give it

Apologizes to tunechi
He has actually improved at skating(Wshh)
February 6th, 2013 at 5:39 pm
50 Cent wishes it was 03 so badly right now.
February 6th, 2013 at 5:44 pm
50 will never regain that relevance he had in 02.
Sad but true. Music has evolved and he hasn’t.
Nowadays it’s all Kendrick, ASAP, Drake etc.
Even Kanye and Jay had to go over euro house beats to keep up with the times. Could you imagine 50 doing a Watch The Throne? Nah.

lol
My respect for him actually increased after watching that video
I thought he was rebranding his image to appeal to a different music buying audience because he can’t rap well anymore
I guess I was wrong

GTRODT is a classic.

Nah
50 is rich as fuck, he doesn’t care if his music sales
I also think he takes pride in that fact that he isn’t relevant today.
50 could always argue that hiphop hasn’t evolved since GRODT but rather hiphop has gotten more gay, simpy, less aggressive, less lyrical and naturally his music wouldn’t get any attention
Thats not true
but its a great excuse
50 can save face and rap shitty new music with all his millions

^^
Naw, 50 needs the attention. He wants to be musically relevant again. He’s been SOS’ing all kinds of guests onto his singles to try and land something that sticks.

February 6th, 2013 at 6:02 pm
Never seen anything like In Da Club though, not before and not since…
I remember coppin the bootleg vinyl before a house party, getting that shit requested 15 times and nobody giving two fucks about hearing it that much. It was like the first time of the night every time it dropped.
I remember being at bars/clubs and when that shit dropped people rushed the dance floor…people just leaving their drinks behind and shit.

50 Cent just came along at the right time…right before the CD sale bubble bursted…had the Eminem/Dr. Dre co-sign at just the right time…if he came any earlier or later he wouldn’t have had close to the same amount of success
February 6th, 2013 at 6:05 pm
Nas – Just a Moment >
That beat is fucking timeless to me for some reason
February 6th, 2013 at 6:05 pm
i cant believe the same man that brought us snoop, em and 50
that made the chronic, the greatest hip hop album ever made along with illmatic and cuban linx and doggystyle and life after death
brought out kendrick lamar
where the vices at?
where the gangstas at?
hip hop is supposed to be counterculture and rebellious, controversial
not straight edge, morally and politically correct

50 gets props but this dude was most responsible for taking hip-hop to WWF status…tried to go back to the well with the beef promotion shit with Ross and it blew up in his face [ll]
February 6th, 2013 at 6:10 pm
drake is so corny biting keef and lil reese’s phrases

February 6th, 2013 at 6:19 pm
Drake’s the worst…undeniably talented, but just overall…the worst

^FACT
February 6th, 2013 at 6:21 pm
rex i see your angle no homo
but 50 was playing niccas off like pawns against each other
using machiavelian tactics
but r**k r**s is the reason jimmy iovine was prepared to give keef just under a mil for the deal
as an actual white person with white children
he understands that r**k r**s has lost that “music to piss my mom and dad” off factor
so there is a gap in the market for actual goons and shooters and thugs to make loot from rap
a power vacuum
almost out of shame for being tricked by the c.o
February 6th, 2013 at 6:23 pm

50 was the original “drum up beef” for promotion dude…
Jigga named dropped him out of annoyance of “How to Rob”…50 even admitted in an interview that was the highlight of his life at that point
GRODT was elevated by beef with Ja Rule (low hanging fruit – no pun intended – most people were sick of dude at that point)
Massacre was taking on all of New York for that Ja record…but people were getting sick of the tactic by then. G-Unit stans really followed though…people hated who he told them to hate.
The Rick Ross beef was funny…but he couldn’t sway any opinions. He got a big *blank stare* from most listeners.
February 6th, 2013 at 6:36 pm
50 has begged for beef with everybody…he was dying to get Wayne to promote him for years. He even went at Jimmy and Dre, and shock value of that didn’t even stick.
February 6th, 2013 at 6:36 pm
Word that gunplay ass whooping was vintage royal rumble.
Yayo > Jim Ross
February 6th, 2013 at 6:37 pm
You nahggas got drinking problems?
Need new livers? New kidneys?
lols
February 6th, 2013 at 6:40 pm
The Em/Dre cosign took 50 worldwide but niggas cant act like the mixtapes didnt have every hood in America on lock. That nigga revolutionized mixtapes. Was actually getting spins of his version of other ppls songs spun on radio.
Plus he struck while the iron was hot in terms of books, movies, video games etc.
February 6th, 2013 at 6:44 pm
I understand why niggas call rap WWE cuz alotta beef is transparent and for record sales but people really do get fucked up. Game really beat the shit outta 40 Glock, Game homie really got popped at Hot 97, Yayo moms crib really got shot the fuck up, Gunplay really got swung into a fence…
February 6th, 2013 at 6:44 pm
Can’t believe 50 couldn’t get M.O.P. out though…
An album full of “Whip Yo Head Boy” tracks woulda been crazy
February 7th, 2013 at 1:47 am
50 wins again
