Did Rick Ross Return Fire During Shooting?
New details have emerged in the Rozay shooting incident from earlier this week. Ft. Lauderdale police say they recovered a total of 18 shell casings at the scene on Las Olas Blvd., but have declined to provide any information about the vehicle that the gunmen were driving or the rumored surveillance footage of the incident. They did credit Ross and his evasive driving maneuvers for his and his passenger’s narrow escape. Also, there now seem to be some questions about whether or not the rapper returned fire at his attackers:
“It’s accurate to say he dodged multiple rounds,” Fort Lauderdale Police Lt. Frank Sousa said Wednesday. “We won’t confirm at this time whether Mr. Roberts had a firearm or whether he shot back. We’re still trying to confirm information on the contents of his vehicle.”
The Sun Sentinel article did go on to say that the police are treating Ross and his female companion, 28 year old Shateria L. Moragne-el, as victims rather than suspects.
Nevertheless, 50 Cent should be happy to know that authorities intend on thoroughly examining “every lead or motive” for the shooting.
