Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “Thrift Shop” Hits Number One on Billborad
^^^
*blank stare*
^^
Lol! Whoever said Macklemore is rap music for people who don’t like rap music was spot on.
I listened to the album against my will when a friend of mine threw it on during a road trip. Admittedly, he is a fan of rap but seems to always, maybe subconsciously, be looking for the next Great White Hope to champion.
That song in particular rubbed me the wrong way because it sounded kind of critical of the culture’s high-end fashion trends which have been around FOREVER.
