   yea they were bounty hunters i get that. but as far as jamie being some sort of black hero, to me you gotta fight the white power structure and Leo embodied that- as you say he is the main villian. but the face off was really between leo and the dentist – the two real powerful ppl of the film…you gotta look close at this shit, jamie never really challenges the power of eithr of them besides a few slick lines.

   Tarentino the other day was saying Roots to him was a corny portrayal of slavery. I guess the whole point of django after he was freed was to just get his wife and that’s it. He killed some white folks along the way and got his girl but the film at the end was just entertainment. You don’t hear nobody saying they learned something from the film. Sure, it was a success for the studio but Nosign white directors tackling the topic of slavery.
