Jayceon > Curtis
This Jesus Piece is tough.
Had half the hype of The R.E.D. Album & is 2x as good.
A little thin content wise but it’s like a studio version of his mixtapes.
Alotta features help take the focus/pressure off of Game.
He’ll never deliver a one two like The Documentary & The Doctor’s Advocate, but he’s more in tune with what the current climate in Hip-Hop is responding to the Fif & it seems like fostering all kinds of relationships is helping keep him relevant where 50′s beefs took him in the opposite direction.

No bullshit,
Game kinda kilt this.
Better then alotta shit that came out this year.
Jesus Piece > God Forgives, i Don’t > Dreams & Nightmares
And people may fuck with Reloaded’s grimey aesthetic but this is how a major label big budget Hip-Hop album is supposed to sound.

Alotta dope music in the past 3 months.

J. Cole sounding less wide eyed & smiley & more seasoned on “Pray”.
East Coast Kendrick type raps.
Looking forward to his new LP next year.
Game A&R’d the shit outta this album.
No skips AT ALL & there is a loose theme built on the Jesus Piece concept.
The more I listen, the more I like it.

Heaven’s Arm & Freedom are pretty nice too….Game put together another solid Lp, the features fit in where they s’pose to…..He coulda switched out 1 or 2 of them joints for Holy Water n’ Black Jesus or that Rollin joint….IMO, for me it’s Documentary then Jesus Piece then Doctor’s Advocate…..

God Forgives, I Don’t is top 10 most disappointing hip hop albums ever, Can-I-Bus status. Rich Forever is still incredible though, so whatever.
Currently downloading Game’s album. I’ve purchased every one of dude’s albums. LAX was the only real disappointment, but whatever, shit happens.
December 6th, 2012 at 1:07 am
I don’t give a fuck about Hov’s corportate moves, they’re respectable, but since I’m still broke, I can’t really give a fuck.
But dude gave us anthems on a regular basis for like 6 years. No othe rapper has ever been as consistent. Period. I simply don’t get where the anti Jay-Z sentiment stems from.

Nah, I think it’s solid. I actually like it better then Teflon Don at points. It showcases a more mature Ross in terms of production choices & the way it was sequenced.
It maybe a little too Poppy compared to his other LP’s but he thought this was the time to go that direction. We all did. His career was peaking, if he was gonna really crossover & go full mainstream, this was the album to do it with.
Rich Forever was for the streets & GFIFD is for retail. His only mistake was throwing away surefire singles like “Stay Scheming” & “Party Heart” on a freelease.
December 6th, 2012 at 1:11 am
Tah Tah and Bleek still around. Dame BEEN exposed as a snake, and Biggs as a dumbass. Beanie wanted to do drugs and stunt around Philly more than he wanted to be a King. Sauce Money and Jaz turned down Roc deals in the beginning. Dehaven a snitch. Jay good on the loyalty aspect as far I’m concerned.
December 6th, 2012 at 1:13 am
No other rapper has ever been as consistent. Period.
^^^
Ghostface.
Jay fell off after The Black Album, let’s keep it all the way live.
I mean, he’s not washed up & can still put together an ill verse every now & then but that streak of consistency has been broken.
Plus, he doesn’t care about the “art”.
This nigga released two Best Of Both Worlds albums & a mash up with Fuck doing it for the culture (although that’s a great way to try & color shit), every time out, Hov is trying to cash in.
His most critically acclaimed album in years was spearheaded by Kanye’s production & vision.

^^
Absoulutely. But on the whole, Rick just seemed like he was running on fumes. The potency was missing in my opinion.
December 6th, 2012 at 1:16 am
Ghostface.
^^
And even he’s fallen off in the past few years, word to Apollo Kids. Not to mention he never had to record with the burden of a pop empire dictating his moves. Ghost may be more consistent, but it was easier to be Ghostface.

No argument there, lol. Even thought I dug Blueprint 3 more than most.
December 6th, 2012 at 1:19 am
Tah Tah and Bleek still around.
^^^
Cause the are the ultimate yes men.
And Bleek ain’t around unless there’s a need for a hypemen.
And nowadays, Beyonce shares the stage with Hov more then Bleek.
i hope he saved that Garnier Fructis money.
Sauce Money and Jaz turned down Roc deals in the beginning.
^^^
Cause they didn’t want to sign to Dame & let’s be clear, Roc-A-Fella was DAME & BIGGS label.
But what about now? They always talk how those 3 would sit around writing & helping each other sharpen their pens. Now that Hov is on his way to a billy, where are his day one niggas???
Dame BEEN exposed as a snake, and Biggs as a dumbass
^^^
Word?
Dame was a snake?
I just thought he was bout his biz, just like every other music exec. He made stars outta cats who would still be broke on the streets of Philly without him. Jay-Z isn’t Jay-Z without Dame.
Same with Biggs. He got it how he got it & took his time like a G.
I wonder if Hov will go visit him in prison.
Dehaven a snitch.
^^^
Says Jay-Z.

Kanye signed niggas like Farnsworth Bentley & GLC.

December 6th, 2012 at 1:25 am
Jay-Z from 96 – 03 was the very best.
But it’s 2012.
Y’all can ignore Kingdom Come & BP3 if ya want.
Even American Gangster was kind of stale. Hov was treading in familiar territory & there were some inspired moments but he’s so far removed from that life, it wasn’t as potent.
I don’t do revisionist history.

Smh. Gamboa fucked up his career going with 50. Left Bob Arum only to fight on a Bob Arum promoted undercard.
If he had fought and beat Rios in April instead of pulling out he’d be next in line to fight Pacquaio or Marquez.
