Game has plenty of personality. I just don’t think he’s captured it on his albums.
This Jesus Piece should show a lighter, friendlier Game. He came from rags to riches & he lives in muthafuckin’ Cali. That’s your story right there.
He’s done the gangbang shit & that’s always gonna be in the background of his music but I actually think The R.E.D. Album, as disjointed as it was, was a step away from all the Blood/thug posturing somewhat & a step in a different direction. Game wants Pop success so bad & I think he can achieve it without completely abandoning his earlier sound.
That Celebration joint is tough. Has that warm up single kinda vibe but I still think he needs something else to sell the album on. Game’s weakness is & has always been the hook.

Might not be in Album Of The Year contention but Saigon’s The Greatest Story Never Told – Chapter 2: Bread and Circuses will prolly be the most underrated release of the year, just like Part 1.
A few less cornball hooks & a some Just Blaze production could’ve easily elevated this LP into the AOTY convo.
