Video: Kendrick Lamar Interview w/ AlLindstrom

Kendrick speaks on good kid, m.A.A.D. city as a self-portrait, being influenced by and working with Just Blaze, his relationship with J.Cole and how it inspired him to go harder and more.

Man this is the dumbest shit I’ve heard a hip hop related person say in a while. Kanye and pharrell can say some really dumb things that ends sounding more pretentious and less artsy.

Get back into the studio and STFU.

  14. JDS of the Cobra Kai Dojo Says:

Kendrick is exactly where Lupe was.

Niggas hear somebody who actually got some skills and be ready to anoint them before they get a chance to grow (n) and be great.

Dre did it again!!! That MC Eiht verse, tho…..Verse Of The Year contender….?….Nah, but it was good hearing the homie drop that “Gyeah” one mo’ time, tho….

    ——

Nah, JayRock put Kendrick on when he was going by K.Dot, so it was only right to reciprocate the love……Been in LA since 05, back then JayRock was dropping tapes w/ DJ Warrior w/ K.Dot all on it….And a lot of his early hood tapes that he did for Watts n’ Compton had K.Dot on it….Them 2 niggaz been tight on sum music shit….Kendrick prolly gotta cut w/ Q that’s a bonus track or sum thin…..Ab-Soul STILL aint eatin’…..DAMN….lol…..Them niggaz know what they doing, tho….They been grinding out here in LA since the early 2000′s……Plus the dude who runs TDE is a reputable dude out here….. Nas, Lupe, n’ Kendrick setting the bar high this year…

    #TruthHurtsBitch!!!!

  65. Fyodor Drostoevsky Says:

Can’t speak to his recent visuals, but I remember being in college vibing to the Paris video version of Kendrick’s Heaven or Hell, and the Japanese train video for Growing Apart, inspiration for first traveling overseas. It’s cool to see what direction an artist goes in.

  66. AJ Says:

Captain planet would it not have been easier to write a post that says i dont like his music and just left this whole thread alone… His albums are well rounded… i can name about 3 artists who still pull that off….
