This Kendrick is pretty nice, a rap concept album with pop sensibilities… (II) just in case.
1. Songs are reasonably complex without the preachiness of the last high level rap concept album… Lupe’s The Cool.
2.First Pharell feature I’ve heard in four years that doesn’t sounds listenable.
3. Even songs that would usually fall into a simple box have a level of creative thought that differentiates the music from gimmick or radio push level.
Bonus Points: A decent drake feature. Shouts to the line about having an East African girl. Ethiopian, Eritrean, Kenyan, even Ugandan women. I fucks with those passports
