Interscope put all that money behind Keef cause he’s a prolific songwriter, right?
Stop it b. Just stop it.

i agree… thats money lost.
and i for one have no interest in listening to a Chief Keef song.
But if he can get a deal why cant these NNew Yorkers?… i’ll tell you why cause them niggas aint relevant.
If every NNew York rapper stopped makng music today… no one would notice.

What NY rapper is making high art rap music?
Yes, there is a level of simplicity required to get national attention and move units.
But on the other hand, NY hasn’t really been pushing the envelop and creating really dope incredible art.

Def different arenas to rap music.
Commercial, underground and creative.
Commercial NY hasn’t being doing shit.
A couple NY underground acts but a far cry from the years of def jux prime. Commercial NY is dead and the underground scene is on life support.
Creativity? Not there. No one is pushing the envelop or upgrading the art.

That “Bitch Bad” video does a lot for the song itself. It makes the issues that he is discussing clearer for the average viewer (especially for the 3rd verse). Pretty good video.
