    Ain’t Murs a Jomo now ?

  2. Captain Planet Says:

    Nas is lyrics

There is nothing else he is

He doesn’t make beats like Kanye

    Isn’t the personality like Snoop

All he has are the words …

And if the words aren’t his ? …

  3. brolic fonts Says:

They’re now saying Jay-Z ghostwrote on Life Is Good, say it aint so !

  4. why? Says:

Murs looks like a black John Malkovich that believes sandusky is innocent.

  5. Captain Planet Says:

Based on a statement sticman just released, Nss had the ideas, but he did do some writing. The type of collaboration that happens in every other genre of music with zero fanfare.

But isn’t that the difference between a rapper and a pop singer ?

  6. b-ease Says:

I really, really don’t mind a track being written here and there…not at all, as long as whoever is spitting [ll] that shit performs it like they own it.

THIS. Cats are making mountains out of piles of dogshit. The Untitled album was conceptual, not autobiographical, makes sense that Nas would get some outside input.

I think collaborating on writing (not just lines but verses/hooks/songs) is common in rap, so I don’t see it as a big deal

but at the same time since lyrics take precedence above everything else for a lot of people in hip hop, I understand the outrage

    good point

  9. brolic fonts Says:

I gotta admit tho, the way Nas stans are reacting is kinda funny

Ross > Jay + Nas, tho

It’s like you said earlier, it’s like steroids

If Nas has used ghost in the past next time you hear a line that floors you was that Nas or did he have a lot of help ?

But if it’s only for a song here and there I could care less…

Now if we’re talking whole albums like he’s Eazy-E or Dr. Dre or something…that’d be wack as hell to me

this is all i’m sayin and thats th eonly reason this is kinda a big deal if a you long time fan of hip hop

we all know other big names get help. shit Ye started a goddamn label for all his ghostwriters and muses (II). and he aint trying to fake the funk like thats not what it is.

but nas is meant to be the one man show…the self righteous torch bearer for “real” hip hop and integrity. thats how he’s positioned himself.

but he callin up sticman asking for songs about Farrakhan. smh

nah, rappers get help w/ hooks all the time, from jigga (i just wanna love you, big pimpin, put ya hands up, etc) to lupe fiasco.

concepts too- some people enjoy having others to share ideas they may not be able to immediately articulate on a page.

Dream making it seem like nas just sat around waiting for jay & stic to write his songs for him, which is false.

  18. sandusky Says:

jihad there comes a time in life when you have to sacrifice something special and dear to you for a greater purpose

I know you want to rap successfully, I hear your hunger pains.

but how much do you really want it?

I can make those dreams a reality.

How do you know that ?

The pleasant of humans colliding with glass.

  21. JihaD Says:

    @ brandon

Have you let anyone know your boss calls you a nigger outside of this site?

Do you let the whores you purchase on backpage listen to your raps about another man?

Did that imaginary asian woman you SWORE was gonna enroll you in college ever get the papers together?

like, this is real life i’m asking you about– the shit you cant ignore when you forget to pay your cricket bill.
