two diff instances. I Don’t like was a trap beat with an original to compare it to. I Don’t LIke remix was a disgrace to the original. a bunch of rich dudes tryna play hood….there was no energy, no soul to their version. it was bad.
Mercy was different that was a GOOD music project. it was tailored exactly how Ye wanted it. Pusha says all that time that Ye makes you write and re-write. 2chainz had one of the best verses on that but i think that has mostly to do with Ye executing his vision for the track

^Yeah I definitely agree. I meant it worked in terms of I heard it on DC radio all the time. I didn’t fuck with it, but a lot of people did.
I really don’t see how 2 Chainz verse was any better or worse than his other work though, and he def had the best verse on that song.

it’s about energy, personality. trap rap is like 80% personality, more than any other subgenre of rap. 2chainz doesn’t have the chops to make it work as a solo artist imo…and i think he’s gonna get ripped apart critically with this album. but we’ll see. wayne was the only person able to follow a crazy features run with a successful album. i dont think 2chainz has what it takes to power through an album on his own.
