I don’t think many albums deserve the label of “classic”….because I think for an album to be considered an all out “classic”, it has to have that consensus across the board of at least 75% of hip-hop fans.
Regional classics and personal classics are a total different definition, a lot of that shit depends on your background or what was going on with you when that shit was released [ll].
Like Kurupt’s “Streetz Is a Mutha” = westcoast classic, not an across the board classic
Dr. Dre’s 2001 = Classic. Period.
