Everybody has a story bro,and I would never downplay what you went through my dude. The beauty of it all is that you came through that shit like a champ,which means you were built to last. So don’t look at it as you gotta go face people you don’t wanna see or that you’re not good enough for. Look at it as you’re going to close a chapter in your life. You’re not looking for acceptance b,God kept you here for a reason so you got bigger fish to fry. They missed out on being a part of your life,not vice versa. Beg no friends and never love SHIT more than it loves you,no matter who or what it is. Social class don’t equal happiness,you might be walking into a room of the most empty,unhappy people on Earth. ^I was robbed on 79th & Ashland coming home from helping a varsity football player in HS with his Trigonometry. They beat my eyes closed, knocked me out, striped me, and was going to kill me. The only thing that saved me was that they didn’t (3 grown men 23, 25, & 19) know how to take the gun off safety. The cops came and seen me and my friend tied up, striped and bloody as fuck. I couldn’t see shit because I took the worse of the beating. I was the only one on the corner of that Currency Exchange fighting these niggas trying to fight for my life while the other nigga (another varsity member) CRIED. I wanted to live. he left me to fight by myself. For us. For some fucking Iceberg sweaters, Rocawear overalls, Jordans, and a pair of Bo Jacksons, SMH. I woke up in an abandoned building on 78th & Paulina naked and tied up with a gun in my mouth. And they said only because I tried to fight. They even talked about doing “other shit to me”. Thanks to the grace, and the grace alone, that they didn’t get around to… really, just to say it.. rape me. Sounds crazy, right? Cops came in right in time to save me b. I hate cops, but damn sam. These the same niggas that pistol whipped me just a year earlier for cutting through their parking lot going to school in 8th grade. Talk about a life crisis.
And I was an honor’s student. Imagine these other niggas that don’t know how to fantasize about the greater things?
