Here’s a selection off the new Separated At Birth EP from Chicago production duo Odd couple, which you can stream and download after the jump. The tape also features appearances from Emilio Rojas, Torae, Freeway, Chance the Rapper and others.
Ghost dosen’t really have anything like BP1 or Stillmatic in his catalogue either
^
And I would never claim otherwise. Ironman & Supreme are classics, and the remainder of his catalogue hasn’t strayed much in terms of overall quality. That was my only point. I’d never say that the best Ghost LP could ever rival the best Nas or Jay.

^ his 1st 2 albums were classics… this fact cant and shouldnt be argued.
^
also factual, I just hold Nas & Jay-Z in higher esteem considering their albums got praised outside of a larger circle than just east coast or “real hip hop” fans
it’s harder to make music that appeals to a broader range of fans..

I respect that….
it’s a like an argument over consistency vs peaks/valleys
I’ll even take it a step further and say OB4CL was really a Ghost album, since he was the only mc on there with a solo track while remaining on every other song.
even now decades after the west coast/east coast beef, I still can’t play Cormega or Ghostface in the car without some of my friends complaining about not playing west coast rap
the fact that Nas & Jay don’t get that slander tho is impressive imo

He wrote hooks, or songs? That doesn’t make any kind of sense to me…lyrics are the same as they always were and have always been.
*blindfully stans*
