Maaaan, I used to know it…but then I kinda got blinded by it for a minute and just let it slide…but Wayne doesn’t really ever say shit on any record.

Unless someone else is writing his shit, that man is straight gibberish

Nets shouldn’t even try to get Howard…use that cap space to fill out a dope roster and have some flexibility.
Plus, look at the teams that were playing in the Finals…there wasn’t an anchor big man just sitting on the post. Lots of teams are getting by playing smaller. You need bigs, but the days of just throwing it in the post and letting the big man do work [ll] are fading away.

Dwight isn’t in the category of other big men right now
Let’s not forget he just carried a team to the Finals three years ago
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:01 pm
Dwight is an instant playoff run, allmost definite 2nd roundd with just a solid team
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:03 pm
I know that Dwight is a beast, but is he gonna go Durant/Lebron in the last 5 minutes
The bar used to be bigs to contend with the Lakers, now the bar is athleticism and explosiveness like the Thunder and Heat.
I just don’t know about almost maxing out your payroll with Williams, Howard and Johnson and filling out the rest of the roster with bums. That’s a big 3, but none of them are Lebron or Durant in the clutch types. DWade is a killer too.
Unless the Russian is like “fuck a luxury tax” and willing to just spend an extra 50 million hahaha

I think Deron could, Joe Johnson could help
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:06 pm
With Dwight, Joe, Johnson you’d instantly be the 2nd best team in the East
I dunno, I’d take my chances
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:08 pm
With Dwight, Deron*, Johnson
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:08 pm
All I’m saying is the salary cap is 70 million…you gotta have 12 or 14 on your roster.
Howard/DWill/Johnson/Wallace are almost 70 million alone.
And you need depth. I know they’re thinking they’ll just figure it out later, but it doesn’t add up.
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:10 pm
If I were the Russian, Joe would be only to entice Howard and to make a good championship run this year
He could be replaced with a better option next year with who knows who, any legit SG, SF,
But Deron and Dwight is the core.
Elite PG and Center. I mean it’s doesn’t get better than that. That is basketball

Howard’s gonna sign an extension with them anyway, they have a solid enough squad to make a decent run this year I almost even forgot about Wallace if he stays
Deron and Howard is the core, there is nothing you can’t build around that later

I’d have to see the rest of the roster, because I’d think a deeper team like the Celtics or Bulls could be better than the Nets. Looks nice on paper, but you need a deep team and chemistry and coaching.
IKnicks looked real nice on paper last year *no shots* to the Knicks fans
I’m all for it though, it’d be fun to watch.

I think a better example would be this last years Pacers
Team chemistry was great
But in the NBA Talent > Deep Teams, usually
Sometimes you get lucky like the both of both worlds like Celtics or Spurs in their prime
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:22 pm
Joe Johnson
2012/13 $19,752,645
2013/14 $21,466,718
2014/15 $23,180,790
2015/16 $24,894,863
Dwight and Deron would have to take a LeBron James-type deal
2012/13 $17,545,000
2013/14 $19,067,500
2014/15 $20,590,000
2015/16 $22,112,500
And add in Gerald Wallace, that’s 65 million for this upcoming season…with 8 spots to fill.
2013/2014 every player gets a 2 million dollar raise…that’s 4 players and they’re already over the cap! hahahaaaa
The Russian is saying FUCK IT
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:29 pm
Heat/Celtics/Thunder/Spurs are deep [ll]
You need stars, but you need to be solid on roster spots 1 through 8 or 9
Nets would have to get 8 dudes to take the minimum and they’d still be over the cap.
And they’re trading every draft pick over the next 4 years, so they’d have to pick up players through free agency every year which is more expensive than drafting
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:30 pm
Fuck it though…the Russian dude is all in. If they suck, don’t be surprised if Joe Johnson ends up missing.
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:33 pm
Can you give a player ownership instead of or in conjunction with his contract? I’d take a stake in the bk nets in stock/shares/ownership as compensation..That’s my extra retirement money.
No way that franchise doesn’t thrive in brooknam…
July 3rd, 2012 at 6:40 pm
Nets are in the same position the knicks were in w melo ..let Howard play out his season then sign him after next season..withe the right pieces aroun deron and Joe they could compete in the east
