We saw what giving rappers chains and no album gets you (See:J-Hood) I dont know what going on behind the scenes obviously. But on what grounds can they say Ross is doing them dirty.
Look at Wale did on his own, I’m not sure but will bet his album affiliated with Ross sold more records.
Stalley had ONE mixtape and saw his fate and knew his buzz wasnt gonna get him more $, so Ross offered the deal.
Meek wasnt getting push with TI and now his buzz is crazy. Touring with Drake and such.
Ross gave them a platform they wouldnt of achieved w/o him. Now what they do with their monies earned NOW will dictate the future.

The assumption is that they signed their lives away for fame. In 2012 this isn’t necessary or even smart. Now more than ever bigger crowds doesn’t equal more money in the artist’s pocket. Whereas prior to signing with Ross they could’ve done very well owning all of their shit doing smaller venues and whatnot, now they’re relegated to slaving away for shiny trinkets and never owning any of their creativity.

After watching that interview, MMG will unravel solely because of their music, and whether people will continue to hold interest.
As a team business-wise, they’re great because everyone puts in their own legwork and they’re only concern is their music and getting paid.
Other labels, like the Roc, fronts with that “We’re all in this together. We’re family.” but then niggas is lazy and looks to the boss to push them instead of standing on their own.
