millionaire athletes going broke is just further proof that nobody beats life. the need for proper planning & strategy are necessary no matter what your social/financial status is.
money doesn’t make you immune to that reality by any means.
there are just as many obstacles and pitfalls that star athletes have to overcome and maneuver around, as there are for the average 9-5er. the nature of said obstacles & problems may be different…but you’d be a fool to believe they don’t exist.

be very clear: 2 Titty Chainz and Aubrey are the respective Nah favorites, with the Narcoleptic Nightmare aka Curren$y only a half step behind.
anyhow, Nas is on that list because he realizes that if you make shitty enough music, then it will be heralded by the masses, radio specifically. and i’m #teamNas, but the Don is easily his worst sounding song in years.

There’s only so much Rick Ross, Drake & French one can stand,especially when they play those same songs on the hour, every hour.
There are artists & music that belong on the radio but because there’s no major label backing they get ignored.
Max B. never had any of his solo stuff on the radio & he was one of the hottest acts in the Tri-State.

I might not have any sympathy, but I understand it.
most these athletes never stood a chance. from day one.
because the reality of the situation is you’re giving X amount of millions to a 20 year old who’s done nothing but play football on his god given ability, and chase girls his entire life up to that point. and placing them in a cutthroat industry that’s overrun by greed, money, sex, liquor and drugs. you can only imagine the warped sense of reality that player develops over the years.
so yea…I’ve seen that movie before. and you can see the ending coming a mile away.

But the player isn’t innocent. I’m sure at a point you begin to see through the bullshit. It’s a choice of continuing to life in an artificial reality only to go through a rude awakening when your career is over or changing your lifestyle so you have something to fall back on.
It’s also about the family structure. If you have good people around you from the start, it’s a little harder to lose your mind when those checks start coming in cause your day one people are supposed to check you & keep you grounded.

All those athletes accumulate the expenses of a nigga making 5-10 mill a yr, then they retire and wake up one morning and still have those obligations with just a fraction of the income.
That 500K that nigga makes is a drop in the bucket for him. Probably barely covers his property taxes.
