    ^Since the retirement of Yao Ming, the NBA has seen its popularity within the Asian community, China specifically (which is the largest NBA market outside of the US), decline tremendously.

    Its no coincidence that once the knicks put him in the starting lineup that Lin was on the front page of NBA.com selling knicks tickets. Coupled with the fact that Chinese new year was just a few weeks ago, its almost miraculously timed that this kid emerged now. Thats the business side of this LINsanity that people forget to take into account.
