    Just read this. Good article.

It still puzzles me that Dee & Waah actually believed in this kid.

  37. &What?! Says:

There was a moment when Wayne was arguably the best rapper and was set to cement his place at the top.

But, since that streak he’s fallen way the fuck off and now his music is terrible.

    Jay-Z – Lil Wayne
    Kanye West – Lil Wayne

    questionable

but i overstand what your saying

  40. tHe kiD fRanKiE Says:

Truth even though I don’t like it.
Efl he might be entering a new arena he on some jimi Hendrix type shit
He might take his music a new direction
    Guess will see

But as far as musically he can never top kush oj and some of his older shit. He’s Gettin more watered down n poppy

But those clothes suggest he might be goin somewhere else?!?

  41. Harlem World Says:

kim k & amber had the twins out, they wasnt caring at the grammy party! wtf

  42. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

There was a moment when Wayne was arguably the best rapper and was set to cement his place at the top.

But, since that streak he’s fallen way the fuck off and now his music is terrible.
    ^^^^

Hov & Nas both went through periods of less then inspired output.

But kids are dumb these days and the bar has been lowered. Wayne is still among the top acts out there, even if his music isn’t what it was at his peak.

And at the end of the day, Wayne is an MC. You can hear the enjoyment he has for his craft in his earlier works (especially during his GOAT run).
I think dude has too much pride to cook up another effort as half assed as TCIV.

  43. &What?! Says:

Wayne has hits though, don’t front like that’s not factual.

Just happens that his recent releases have been atrocious, that ‘rock’ album was incredibly bad idk what the fuck kinda drugs he was taking making that lump of steaming dung.

And all this features on pop songs he does are also very bad and tarnish his reputation.

At one point though Wayne was the leading rapper, probs like 07-10.

  44. hl Says:

    YMCMB runs rap though.

    Post pics or snort glass

  46. &What?! Says:

Wayne still has a huge cult following though, I mean that piece of shit song with Bruno Mars has been on Youtube a week and has 27 mil views.

  47. mcb Says:

    best though?

he was the “hottest/trending/spotlight” rapper but yeah he was up there.

I mean I was playing Wayne, his voice wasnt as gremlin cracky, and his lines made sense. no doubt.

this is why i respect rappers who been int eh game 10+ and still sound good. especially ones who modifying their style in a non-snake manner. essentailly, a maturing rapper who at least stays on pace.

  48. &What?! Says:

    YMCMB runs rap though.

    ^

    I’d agree with this.

Drake/Wayne/Nicki got the game sewn up.

  49. mcb Says:

    but facts is facts:

today more people listening for NIkki and Drake than Wayne

    but he cakin regardless

  52. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

    What’s Snoop’s excuse?

  57. J. Caesar Says:

wayne gets the m.i.p. (most improved issac austin award, remember him, played for the orlando magic) he never was mvp to me..it’s just the standrad of music has dropped, drake>>>>wayne easily comeback season>>>>>anything wayne has done)

Snoop is doing tracks w/ soca artists n whatnot

It hurst to see what he has become (II)

  59. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

TCIV was subpar & is still gonna go 2x Platinum.

Nicki will be selling puss on Backpage before 2015.

    Drake’s at a weird impasse.

If he fights for his respect, he’ll only lose fans.

But if he refuses to engage his detractors people will think he’s a coward.

    Kind of a lose/lose.

I say he makes an acoustic album of covers of popular R&B songs from the 90′s.

    By female artists of course.

got other great shti going on, why bother

i know what your saying, i just dont blame these guys.

aint no fan sending you $10000 after you stop making music… well other than royalty checks but yeah

finding a respectable balance where you are still happy, and not whoring your name out, but diversifying and getting money elswehere… thats whats up.

i always wonder if certain rappers and if they had their business money all set up properly and invested, and are doing fine, out of the picture and enjojying life witha moderate amount of steadyincome.

or if they blew it all and are scrapin
