That WTK/Dilla tape is dope.LA the Darkman has a lil spit to him as well.Never checked for him until I heard him with WTK.Dilla`s sample chopping ability is the best hands down.His ability to twist and alter samples placed him as the original drum god.

son could take a tiny quarter bar loop, work it up, and stretch that shit out into a 3 minute classic beat… his drums would sometimes be a milli-second late, but it would give the drums a clever sloppy sound… imagine how much time and patience it must have took to make some of those beats he made…

I witnessed the genesis of it and it`s growth and present decline.I come from a era when very few niggas rhymed or they kept it to themselves.Hip hop was more of a cultural movement then.Everybody had graffiti books even if they didn`t tag well.Everybody was trying to pop lock and breakdance.It`s a different feel now.No soul.
