P left out a *very* important part of that Pac story. Pac had just done an interview in Vibe saying that “thug life was dead” right around the time The Infamous was being recorded. So, Prodigy’s man saying “Thug life, we’re still living it” was an obvious reference to Pac’s statement in Vibe and Pac was right to take offense to it…here’s a man vowing to leave the bullshit behind and here come these dudes basically (implicitly) questioning his credibility for making that decision. Folks at the time were saying Pac was leaving thug life behind because he was going into prison, but so what? What better time to get rehabilitated? Puff’s soft ass even had a comment in Vibe about Pac relinquishing thug life near that time. So, when Pac got out, he started smashing on everyone that took it upon themselves to make an unnecessary comment on the matter.
